Truly men are like that—
The six bodies were found in the spring
covered by eight o’clock news
beneath wet snow and layers of air.
Originally it was reported that they
were unborn, inside the neatly open
belly of the wolf.
Forensic tests proved others were wise,
they also proved fear—
But you crawl inside that clock and tell me
that you didn’t see your Mother go out under that tree —
Is it insanity then?
pockets filled with piure?
Because there are no good endings
when you are hungry for life.
There are reports that the wolf died miserably
because rebirth has to be miserable and we fear the night and
only scream and throw money into deep wells when we need something — watered down luck.
You don’t remember if your story is wrong
locked up in that clock, listening to the footsteps of the miller, praying.
And god put on shiny red heels, took selfies in his closet, sharing
to not rejoice at death.
